MOHE-MAPITA Strong Cooperation Towards Resource and Knowledge Sharing 

Kuching, 4 March 2024: Meeting of ICT Directors (MAPITA) 1/2024 was held on 4 - 5 March 2024 at the Tun Abang Haji Openg Digital Center (TAHODC), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UniMAS). The meeting was attended by ICT Directors or representatives from all Malaysian Public Universities. 

Presentation and discussion sessions took place based on the key performance indicators as outlined from the MAPITA-MOHE Initiative Coordination Resolution 2024. 

The presentations are as follows:

This resolution is based on the following objectives:

  1. Drafting Performance Indicators (KPI) and strategies for the implementation of the 2024 digitization initiative;
  2. Align UA and Agency digitization initiatives with the Ministry;
  3. Strengthen the Framework and Strategic Management to help KPT implement effective technology planning strategies, change management, risk management and data administration; and
  4. Develop terms of reference for the feasibility study of the smart campus framework that will be implemented in 2024. This study needs to be implemented to re-coordinate and improve the smart campus implementation plan as a guide for Public Higher Education Institutions (IPTA).

 

The close cooperation between MAPITA members and the Information Management Division (BPM), Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) will continue to be maintained and hopefully continue to lead the ICT leadership of Malaysian Public Universities.
