KPT and KPI MAPITA Initiative Coordination Meeting

Putrajaya, 5 February 2024: The Information Management Division (BPM), the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) and the Council of ICT Directors of Public Universities (MAPITA) have organized a Coordination Meeting of KPT Initiatives and MAPITA Performance Indicators for the year 2024. It was held at Floor 16, KPT Building, Putrajaya.

 

The workshop was held to coordinate the strategic collaboration program between MAPITA and the Ministry in line with KPT's five (5) main focuses for the year 2024, namely Preparing the Best National Talent; Strengthening the Research & Innovation Ecosystem; Implementation of the New Program approach; Knowledge Sharing Transfer; Internationalization of Higher Education; and Strengthening the Enabling Ecosystem.

 

Among the main objectives of the KPT Initiative Coordination Workshop and MAPITA Performance Indicators in 2024 are:

 

  1. Drafting Performance Indicators (KPI) and strategies for the implementation of the 2024 digitization initiative;

 

  1. Align UA and Agency digitization initiatives with the Ministry;

 

  1. Strengthening the Framework and Strategic Management to help KPT implement technology planning strategies (requirements for new subscription renewals of Adobe software), change management, risk management, and effective data administration; and

 

  1. Develop the terms of reference for the feasibility study of the smart campus framework to be implemented in 2024 using DE provisions under the Fundamental Research details. This study needs to be carried out to re-coordinate and improve the smart campus implementation plan as a guide for Public Higher Education Institutions (IPTA).

 

Through achieving the objectives of the performance indicator formation program (KPI), planning strategies and initiatives can provide a clear picture and foundation in driving digitization at the MAPITA level in an effort to improve technology management efficiency in IPTA.
