InfoComm Development Center (iDEC) through the iDEC Partner Club continues to contribute in the knowledge transfer program to the local community through the iDEC @ Community Project PUTRA Bakti: Internet of Things (IoT) Knowledge Transfer on 19 - 21 April 2019 at Kg. Sawah Border, Tanjong Karang Selangor.
iDEC @ Community Project PUTRA Bakti is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program through the concept of University to a community that aims to involve students with the iDEC as a whole. This is in line with the transition to making the Center of Higher Education a strategic place in the implementation of community programs, particularly in sharing the rapidly expanding ICT transformation exposures.
According to Director of Center for InfoComm Development (iDEC) UPM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatimah Sidi, the initiative of this community project idea is a follow up with the exposure, training and practicality that has been given to UPM students on IoT technology beforehand can be shared with Mahad Tahfiz Pondok Hamlatul Quran Kg. Bawah Sawah, Tg. Karang Selangor through knowledge transfer (knowledge transfer) based on 'skill to community'.
The project for three (3) days has been conducted by IoT iDEC En. Facilitator. Mohd Shafree Ahmad and En. Rizal Hj. Razak through the iDEC Partner Club involving the participation of 40 Maahad Tahfiz Pondok Hamlatul Quran students. Positive impact on the implementation of this project, students are able to install and apply IoT technology on lighting use.
