PutraHotSpot

The launching ceremony of the UPM PutraHotSpot executed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB. Dato' Seri Dr. Zahid Hamidi on 15th May 2016, at 3.00 p.m, Dewan Besar, PKKSSAAS UPM.

PutraHotSpot Wifi service is free for all UPM users, developed by Infocomm Development Centre ( iDEC). PutraHotSpot is a wireless Internet service for all UPM staffs and students. This service supports various devices such as desktop computers, notebooks, PDAs and smartphones that use Wi-Fi connectivity that is compatible with 802.11b/g.

The PutraHotSpot service allows to access the UPM online applications such as the Student Information System (SMP), web email and other applications. This service covers strategic locations which are students' favourite sites such as the dining hall, reading room, kiosk, student gathering area.

Students subscribing to PutraHotSpot services are allocated bandwidth quota per month.  Hence, student are advised to utilise the allocated quota wisely.  Students will not be able to surf the Internet once the allocated quota is exhausted.  

The PutraHotSpot Service Center is located at the 1st Floor of Astaka Seni, UPM to facilitate issues related to user account.
