InfoComm Development Centre (iDEC) is responsible for minimizing the effects of incidence and the risks of ICT security threats in UPM by providing expertise support  and ICT requirements which include enforcement, control and  protective measure of ICT assets of UPM through the:
  
1. deveIopment of UPM ICT Security Policy
2. testing and auditing of the security level of application systems, computer network systems and UPM servers
3. increase of the level of security awareness among the UPM community.
4. reporting of any breach of the policy to the UPM ICT Security Committee.
